Fiasco Playing Citysol July 11

Fiasco are little known in these parts right now, but they have some energetic tunes and they are playing the free solar-powered Citysol per Brooklyn Vegan and their myspace.  By the end of the summer the vocal-less group may be the next Battles.   We hope to catch them on July 11.

Intermissions at Union Hall

Intermissions may not be known now, but give it some time. Playing with Motel Motel, The Go Station and Tropic Of Nelson the group of former Bling Kong-ers surprised many with their intense, self-proclaimed "first gig ever". Many doubters arose. How could this be show number one? Wielding two drummers, inaudible lyrics and serious stage presence, they dared you to take your eyes and ears of them. Most attempts at this failed.
There sound was certainly Battles inspired, but there were other global influences that tinged their progressive rock.
We'll keep a close eye on them and let you know when you can see them again.
We apologize for the photo, you can see much better ones here. And we don't have anywhere to send you to listen to the band, but we will. We hope.

Official Bonnaroo 2008 Lineup Announced

So Coachella 2008 was a bit of a let down and for a moment so was Bonaroo 2008. Many people saw that Lez Zeppelin was performing and mistook it for another band with a similar sounding name and set list. Anyway once the truth registered people realized - all in all - it looks like a hell of a show. Metallica, Pearl Jam, Mastadon, Sigur Ros, Battles, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (maybe the Led could show?!), and My Morning Jacket will accompany Lez from June 12-15 in Manchester, TN - among others. See the full lineup here.
