The Dodos: Coming to NYC This Month and Video

The Dodos (nee Dodo Bird) are the kind of artists that you want to keep to yourself. But the rhythmic, mellow, Latin and country-tinged guitar sounds, accompanied by warm, fuzzy vocals, bounding percussion and insightful lyrics will have you debating with yourself. You'll think: I can't tell anyone about this band; they're too good - and - I gotta tell everyone about this band; they're too good.

The San Franciscan band is singer/songwriter Meric Long and percussionist Logan Kroeber. The duo has a new album due out in March of 2008. It will be titled, Visiter and it will be released on Frenchkiss Records.

Honestly, I must get my hands on this record. My hands are reaching, my ears straining, my mouth watering, and with good reason, check out the bands myspace and the new video for the song, "Fools".
