I know this video isn't quite new but I have been listening to this album by Anika almost non-stop. It's on Stones Throw and it's produced by Geoff Barrow (Portishead). It sounds like punktronica. Does that make sense? See below.

Strong Arm Steady feat. Phonte "Best of Times"
Yes. I like music when it sounds like this: Strong Arm Steady feat. Phonte "Best of Times". I would marry Stones Throw Records if it were legal. Can't wait to hear this whole thing.

Mayer Hawthorne, Aloe Blacc and Lee Fields
Speaking of Stones Throw, the long anticpated debut by Mayer Hawthorne will be released Sep. 8, 2009 on Stones Throw. In related news, Lee Fields debut release came out yesterday and features Aloe Blacc. I have heard a few tracks from both of these releases and am excited to get my hands on them.
