A friend of mine mentioned Dan Black to me a few months back but I haven't heard any songs or much about him since. The below video for "Symphonies" ended up in my inbox today and now I sort of want to hear more. Cool tune, cool video.

At one point I've heard that this new Hot Chip album sounds just like a Hot Chip album should and I have been listening to it like mad. And I'd agree. It's pretty cool. Red Baraat at Barbes in Park Slope

I can only say great things about the Red Baraat show at Barbes in Park Slope. Absolutely one of the best shows in some time. Packed in a tiny room, lots of drums and horns, dancing and sweating. If you've not heard these dudes it's time to buy the album and go see them. They'll be at [le] Poisson Rouge on Saturday for their CD release. Run.

Groove Armada w/Bryan Ferry
