The Moldy Peaches are to Juno as the Shins are to Garden State. No doubt. And the band is riding their fame all the way to The View. Kimya Dawson and Adam Green performed their resurrected tune “Anyone Else But You” on the hit ABC show this morning to the simultaneous gasps of many hipsters around the world.
It's actually quite nice.

Jeremy Jay - "Airwalker" Video, Tour Dates
LA's Jeremy Jay has some new tracks up on his myspace page. If you are unfamiliar with his work, his music sits somewhere between Belle & Sebastian and the indie folk scene. There is a video, some mp3's and tour dates below. New York is not on the list....yet.

The Big Sleep Announce Record Release Show
The Big Sleep really wake us up here at musicology. The Brooklyn trio plays (mostly) instrumental, dream-like rock that makes you want to stay awake. They have a new record called Sleep Forever, that will be available on February 19, 2008. There will be a record release party on February 21 at the Mercury Lounge. I imagine you would like to be there.

Lisa Hannigan "Lille" Demo
I read about this over at Stereogum and thought I'd share. Former Damien Rice vocalist, Lisa Hannigan, has a new song on her myspace. Anybody else psyched for a full length?

New Counting Crows
I was a big Counting Crows fan back in the day, and though I haven't been impressed with much since Recovering the Sattelites, I still get somewhat excited when I read about new material. Stereogum has a few tracks available for download from the forthcoming, Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings. The track "When I Dream of Michaelangelo" is very mellow and reminds of the early days.
In other news, Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows will be playing a benefit show for Epilepsy at Rams Head Live in Baltimore with Philadelphia based band, the Flood.
The Spanish Prisoners - Playing Union Pool Tomorrow, Album Stream, Tour Dates
A band that I have been singing a long with lately, the Spanish Prisoners played in Brooklyn tonight and will be back again tomorrow playing Union Pool with Jack Penate. Their new album, Songs to Forget, which is being released on Exit Stencil Recordings will be available soon and is streaming over at Virb.

Radiohead In Store Webcast!
Radiohead played In Rainbows in its entirety earlier today at a show that was scheduled to be at tiny record store in London. The free show was postponed because of safety reasons and moved to nearby 93 Feet East. If they don't make their way stateside soon, I may have to move. I'll post the video when it makes its way to Youtube.
In related news In Rainbows is no longer the number one album in the country as it has been superceded by the Juno Soundtrack.
