The Caretaker - "Bedded Deep In Long Term Memory" Video
This is a perfect Sunday afternoon record. The Caretaker
The album is a collage of edits of 78-RPM records that are inspired by a recent study that Alzheimers patients are "better able to remember new verbal information when it is provided in the context of music even when compared to healthy, older adults."
And it really kinda feels like it sounds. Dark yet uplifting.

Still on A Tribe Called Quest kick since seeing the awesome documentary. Which means that I have been listening for days. But Mick Boogie puts this together. Difference between he and I, I suppose.

Tom Vek - "Aroused" Video
Went and saw Tom Vek at the Mercury Lounge last week and it was perfect. Except why is he playing a room that size? It was packed but was feeling lucky to see him in such a small space. Here is a new video for "Aroused".

Curren$y - "Smoke Break" Video
Check out the new Curren$y video "Smoke Break" from his new album Weekend at Burnie's
Marissa Nadler sings on Cloud Seeding debut out today
If you missed this Cloud Seeding release today, this is what you've missed: It's a single featuring Marissa Nadler and Cloud Seeding main man Kevin Serra. It's more than awesome. It's pure in its reining in of both honesty and hopelessness and yet polluted with its dark space-like, dreary, dream-like soundscape. This brilliant single will have you begging for a full length that can pull you up from its gorgeous despair.
