This week, Joe Pernice of The Pernice Brothers will publish his debut novel
IT FEELS SO GOOD WHEN I STOP, a hilarious and irreverent novel about a modern
everyman struggling to learn how to love, choose, and commit on his own terms.
On August 4th, Pernice will also release his soundtrack to the novel on his
own Ashmont Records—a collection of cover versions of songs referenced
throughout the book. As the Read the Music featured author this month, he's
selected three songs—“Found a Little Baby” (Plush) “I’m your Puppet” (James
& Bobby Purify) and “I Go To Pieces” (Del Shannon) to stream at
